The world can be a scary place.
And sometimes it can be lonely. We all need support. We all need someone to talk to. That’s why I started coaching.
To help people get a handle on the challenges we all face in modern life. I do believe we all have a choice about moving forward. That getting unstuck and moving forward to a happier and healthier place is a conscious decision and takes work.
Sometimes just giving someone a different perspective or point of view and really listening to their pain helps release some of it. When I got divorced, I became the go to divorce coach for my community. People liked the way I handled myself and the situation and wanted to know how I did it.
After a few years my practice evolved and now I help people in all sorts of life situations. We all have pain. We can be trapped by it or work to get beyond it.
That’s why I created Tamara Mendelson Creative Consulting.
You see, I discovered the amazing power of positive thinking. I have a certificate in Positive Psychology and coach without judgement and with kindness and humor.
Not unicorns (which aren’t real by the way) and rainbows but more that there is light at the end of every tunnel. And with the right support and hard work anyone can live a happier more fulfilling life.
I have faced many challenges in my own life, born nine weeks early, learning and coordination disabilities, a seizure disorder, brain tumor, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, my own divorce with teenaged kids, anxiety and depression. I have survived and thrived through all these challenges with resiliency, humor and having someone to talk to during the darkest periods.
I believe in Post Traumatic Growth.
That attitude and organization can help people feel better. We are our own worst critics. Isn’t it time to get out of your own way and move forward? Join my Facebook Group – This Way Forward and connect with other people moving forward.
People feel better after talking to me. Sometimes it’s a short-term thing, sometimes is longer term. I have clients in four different time zones. Ages 25 to 80. All people have pain.
I’ve been where you are. Things do not have to be the way they have always been.
Would you like to know how I can help you to move forward?
Working with Tamara was like having the smart, kind, whip-smart auntie that my and my project actually needed. She fully and quickly understood my work style (read: chaotic sprints, sticky notes, and art journals), and instead of trying to rein me in, she found ways to ground the chaos without stifling creativity. Tamara helped me shape something real and stay with it all the way through.
If you’re a creative, healer, or idea machine with a million tabs open and no clear next step, Tamara is who you want in your corner. She’ll help you channel your brilliance and build the confidence to see it through.
Sometimes we all need someone nonjudgemental to talk about life with. I have told Tamara some outrageous stories and she doesn’t even blink. She may laugh but never makes me feel anything less than seen and heard. Tamara also gently reminds me that making the same choices over again isn’t the best for moving forward. She is the best.
As a young expat living abroad and married to a spouse from a different culture, Tamara has been instrumental in helping me navigate the unique challenges I encountered in my marriage. She provides me with a space of patient introspection when I need it and pushes me to address issues and challenges when it matters most. I credit her with keeping my marriage strong…and for the growth and expansion of the most important relationship of my life.
I feel better every time I have a tele coaching session with Tamara. She helps me organize my thoughts so I can be a better Mom, businessperson and wife. There is no judgement and she gives me homework. Little steps forward that I know can make a positive part of my healing.
